With the holidays approaching, we look forward to spending time with family members and friends. From indulging in meals made with love to gift giving and receiving, we celebrate the people and joys in our lives.
At YWCA of the Greater Capital Region, Inc., we reflect on the 104 women and over 50 children we serve every single day. Those who call YWCA-GCR home look forward to the holidays with hopes of providing their children with a special gift and lifelong memories of time spent together. They look forward to visiting with their children or cooking a meal on their own and perhaps receiving a gift for themselves.
The Adopt-a-Family Program aims to provide every YWCA-GCR woman and child a holiday experience like we experience with our own families. Last year, all 26 families were adopted, and 76 single women received a gift bag filled to the top with meaningful necessities! We sincerely thank our 2022 Adopt-a-Family donors for making this possible.

Your gifts will be distributed at our annual holiday party which will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. (Please note gifts are due in-house to YWCA-GCR on Friday, December 8, 2023 by 3PM).
